Double degree master’s programme in International Economics and Business

Széchenyi István University and India’s Integral University launched a double degree master’s programme in "International Economics and Business" in September. The first cohort consists of 18 Indian students who, upon successfully passing their final exams, will receive diplomas from both universities. As part of the program, students must complete one semester at the partner institution, meaning the Indian students are currently spending this semester in Győr. In connection with the program, the university will expand the menu of the Paneer restaurant in ETO Park with Indian dishes starting from March 1.

Dr. Eszter Lukács,  Vice-President for International Affairs and Strategic Relations  at the university, stated that double degree programmes are becoming increasingly popular, as they allow students to earn two diplomas and gain valuable international experience. The university already runs similar programmes with institutions in several countries, including the United States, China, Italy, and Portugal. For Indian students, studying in Hungary is a unique experience, and they greatly appreciate the university’s supportive community.

The students see the programme as a tremendous opportunity for professional development. During their semester in Győr, they acquire advanced European economic knowledge and build valuable intercultural connections. They eagerly explore Hungary and strive to collect as many experiences as possible during their stay. According to the students, the program will provide a significant advantage in the job market in the long run, and they are confident that they will be able to apply their knowledge effectively in their home country in the future.
