Autumn 2024: Launch of the International Business Economics BSc program in English
2023: Dr. Sándor Remsei appointed as dean
2022: Dr. László Csicsmann becomes dean of the Kautz Faculty
2022: AACSB accreditation process begins
2022: The Business Administration and Management BSc program receives ACCA accreditation
2013-2022: Dr. Ilona Papp takes over as dean; Program accreditations, MBA course in cooperation with Audi Hungaria Zrt., faculty becomes the second largest at the university, relocation to the Management Campus building
2016: SZEEDSM program
2009-2013: Dr. László Józsa serves as dean; Launch of postgraduate and higher-level vocational programs, development of academic and educational standards
2010: First English-language program in the Marketing field
2008: Three new master’s programs launched, followed by one additional program in both 2009 and 2010
2007: The Faculty of Law and Economics splits into two faculties, resulting in the creation of the Kautz Gyula Faculty of Economics, with Dr. János Rechnitzer continuing as dean
2004: Multidisciplinary social science doctoral program “Economy, Law, Regionality, and Society in Integrating Central Europe,” later renamed the Doctoral School of Regional and Economic Sciences (2008)
2002-2006: Dr. János Rechnitzer serves as dean of the Faculty of Law and Economics
January 1, 2002: Became Széchenyi István University; Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Faculty of Law and Economics established
September 1998: Launch of the first university-level business management program, developed by Professor József Veress, offered in full-time education from autumn 2001
1993: The Faculty of Economics takes over the management of programs
1992: Launch of economist training
1990: Establishment of the Business Administration program
