„PROJECT MANAGEMENT BASICS” COURSE STUDENT REPORTS
On 9 December 2024, at 15:00, in Room 002 of the Management Campus, students enrolled in the course Project Management Fundamentals (KGNB_TRTM039) showcased their work in a formal presentation session.
Four groups, drawing on the knowledge and skills acquired during the course, delivered presentations on projects that were either tourism- or hospitality-oriented. The first group, representing the Tourism and Hospitality Department of the Kautz Gyula Faculty of Economics, presented a project titled Tourism and Hospitality 2023 Olympic Games. This initiative demonstrated their ability to conceptualize and execute a large-scale event. The second group introduced Taste of the World, a project offering instant food and drinks reflecting the culinary traditions of both Hungarian and international students, fostering cultural exchange through gastronomy.
The third team presented Taste of Nation, a project aimed at promoting cross-cultural interaction among international students in Hungary through a cooking competition. This initiative encouraged participants to prepare and share traditional dishes, creating an engaging platform for cultural exchange. The final group, Without Borders, highlighted the multicultural identity of Széchenyi István University. Their two-day event, which is conducted each semester, included active sports events and the screening of films recommended by international students to showcase the culture of their respective home countries.
The projects reflected the students' creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. These efforts not only demonstrated their academic competence but also their potential to assume leadership roles in future projects. We extend our congratulations to all participants and look forward to their continued contributions in upcoming semesters.
The coordinators of the course are Ferenc Dr. Darabos, associate professor and Csaba Dr. Kőmíves, assistant professor.
