First double degree in Tourism Management Programme
Széchenyi István University and Polytechnic of Leiria have signed a Double Degree Programme in the field of Tourism Management in 2022. Within this RUN-EU Double Degree Programme, the students from Széchenyi István University and Polytechnic of Leiria complete a Double Degree Programme at both universities in Master in Tourism Management (SZE) and Master in Sustainable Tourism Management (IPL) degree programmes.
On 10 December 2024, the first final examination of the programme was held, where Victoria Teresa Apajalahti passed the master's defence and final exams, thus fulfilling the requirements of both institutions for the two degrees.
Victoria wrote her thesis on ’Virtual reality, cultural tourism, and visitor experience: a case study’. The thesis explores consumers' perspectives about virtual reality products on the visitor experience in cultural tourism through a case study of VR Tours Vienna.
Victoria will receive in Hungary the degree of Economist in Tourism and Management at the graduation ceremony of the Kautz Gyula Faculty of Business in February 2025.
