Guest lecture by Prof. Dr. György Nógrádi, university professor and security policy expert
On October 29 and December 5, 2024, Prof. Dr. György Nógrádi, university professor and security policy expert, gave guest lectures at our university.
The lectures were announced as part of the renewed "EU Studies" course overseen by Associate Professor Dr. Katalin Bándy, but the event was also made available at the faculty level. The lecture on October 29 was titled „From German Unity to the 2025 Elections”, while on December 5, attendees listened to the speaker's thoughts on „European Security and Europe's Role in the Global Power Game”.
In 1974, György Nógrádi defended his first doctoral thesis titled „The Economic Policy of the Federal Republic of Germany,” and in 1997 he earned his second doctorate in military sciences at the Zrínyi Miklós National Defense University.
He is the author of numerous books and other publications, primarily focusing on security policy, military sciences, and defense economics. He teaches at the Corvinus University of Budapest and the Ludovika University of Public Service and holds significant positions in several other organizations.
