Informational day for high school students

During a career day program, students from the 9th grade of Győri SZC Baross Gábor Bilingual Economic Technicum, participating in the certified technician training, visited our university. Through a series of lectures, they were introduced to the further education opportunities offered by the Kautz Gyula Faculty of Economics.

The first point of the program was a detailed introduction to the characteristics of the bachelor's degrees available at our Faculty, presented by program leaders Associate Professor Dr. Judit Berkes, Assistant Professor Dr. Gabriella Imre, Associate Professor Dr. Veronika Keller, and Associate Professor Dr. Ferenc Darabos. In the second point, representatives of the Student Union (HÖK) shared the beauties of university life and other services offered by the university. As a closing event, students participated in a library tour guided by Dr. Viktor Zsömle, where they gained further useful information and experiences.

Participation in the event provided the attending students with particularly important knowledge, as within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the university and the high school, graduates of the certified technician training receive automatic credit recognition for some subjects if they apply to one of the bachelor's programs at our Faculty. The visit was organized by Dr. Ferenc Bakó, Assistant Professor at the Department of International and Applied Economics, and took place at the Science and Innovation Park, otherwise known as “Cube” or “Kocka”.
