Eva Milheiro and João Estevãoarrived as representatives of the higher education institution „Polytechnic of Portalegre”  to the Department of Tourism and Hospitality of the university of Győr under the Erasmus Teacher Mobility Program in the last week of 2024 October.

During the English language presentations the students gain insight into the tourism of Portugal with particular regard to trends, consumer habits. The professionals described the tourism strategy of Portugal, the value chain and management of destination, and Portuguese-Hungarian comparisons, discovery of parallels also took place. The key topics of the interactive presentations were summarized using a Questions-Answers section. The programme was concluded with an exciting quiz. Students giving correct answers to the questions related to the topics addressed on the presentations were awarded with small Portuguese souvenirs.

The presentations elicited great interest among the students and they gained significant new knowledge. For the colleagues at the department, the event promoted the establishment of the international professional relationships.
