OTDK: 36 Széchenyi students in the Economics section
The National Student Research Conference, held biennially, will be represented by more than 200 outstanding students in 2025, with participants qualifying in 15 out of 16 sections.
Hungary's premier scientific event series serves as the most important platform for nurturing young talent. It is both a conference and a competition, where the most outstanding student research papers from institutional Scientific Student Conferences are evaluated.
This year, a total of 204 students will represent Széchenyi István University, presenting 215 research papers. Among them, 36 students have qualified for the Economics section. One of them is Sára Simon, a student from the Kautz Gyula Faculty of Business and Economics, majoring in Commerce and Marketing, who has researched the negative effects of influencer marketing on consumers.
"I chose this topic because it raises highly relevant issues for Generation Z – a generation I am also part of. I was also excited by the opportunity to conduct research at the university, which was something I definitely wanted to try," she said.
We wish the best of luck to all our talented students who have qualified for OTDK!
