TDK Panorama - Study of Ádám Hazafi and Ádám Dancs in the session "Corporate and Market Processes"

Scientific and artistic students' association conference - 26 november 2024

On 26 November, Ádám Hazafi and Ádám Dancs participated in the Széchenyi István University Scientific and Artistic Students’ Conference with the topic Industrial Giant versus Spa Town: The Tourism Impact of the Nestlé Factory Expansion in Bükfürdő.

The main objective of the research is to investigate the impact of the expansion of the Nestlé factory on the tourism sector, with a special focus on the hotel industry. The study focused on analysing the composition of the guest base and the changes in the number of guest nights, the average occupancy rate of hotels, the length of stay and the spending habits of guests.

The empirical research was quantitative (questionnaire survey). The main research question of the presentation and the paper thesis was the impact of the expansion of the Nestlé factory on demand. The authors would like to continue the research already started by increasing the number of elements in the quantitative research, so that the topic can be investigated more sophisticatedly, using principal component analysis and then cluster analysis to obtain new results. Structured interviews will also complement the research.

Our young colleagues had a positive experience on this day.

Ádám Hazafi Tourism and Hospitality BSc and Ádám Dancs Business Informatics MSc students were supervised by Csaba Dr. Kőmíves, Assistant Professor of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality.
