This Special Issue aims to bring together contributions that examine accessible tourism through the interconnected lenses of inclusion, social equity, visitor experience and social sustainability. Its focus is on how tourism systems, destinations and service providers can create products and experiences that enable the participation of people with disabilities and other visitors with access needs. The purpose of the issue is to deepen understanding of accessible tourism not only as a matter of compliance or market adaptation, but as an essential dimension of responsible and socially sustainable tourism grounded in fundamental human rights.
