Dr. Tibor Dőry’s new book, entitled Innovation and Excellence, has been published in the Academic Kiadó publishing house’s Innovation Library series.
The aim of the book is to provide a mirror image of the innovation activities of Hungarian companies through the lens of corporate excellence, based on the results of a sectoral survey and corporate case studies, and then provision with suggestions to help develop the innovation capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises in particular, using simple, proven management methods that can be tested in practice.
The first part of the book reviews the factors of corporate excellence and success, then highlights the possible sources of innovation, with a focus on the role of users and employees. Based on empirical research results, it highlights some of the characteristics of the research and innovation activities of Hungarian companies, such as the limited amount of time spent on development, as well as case studies based on interviews with large companies (AUDI, BOSCH, MELECS) based on interviews with large companies.
The volume concludes with a description of tested practical methods and management techniques that readers can try out in their own businesses.
