Széchenyi István University organised an international summer university focused on the digitalisation of tourism. The aim of the programme was to introduce students to the sustainable and innovative use of digital technologies in the tourism sector. During the summer university, Hungarian and foreign students worked together on various case studies and practical tasks.
Technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality and the use of smart devices played an important role. Participants expanded their knowledge through workshops and lectures while learning in an interactive environment. The event fostered collaboration between universities, companies and tourism operators. It also provided support for international experience and networking. Students gained practical skills that will help them in their future professional lives. The event contributed to strengthening the international academic presence of the University.
