The University’s Code of Ethics reflects the shared values of the European Higher Education Area and the Bologna Declaration, emphasizing cooperation in education as a foundation for a stable, democratic society. Its purpose is to ensure the University’s legally and morally unquestionable operation by requiring respect for human dignity, rights, freedoms, and the protection of the natural environment.

The Study and examination regulations contain the most important provisions, rights, and obligations relating to student status, study requirements, and examinations.

Széchenyi István University’s Plan for Equal Opportunities  sets out measures to promote gender equality, support students with special needs, and ensure equal treatment for all members of the university community. Its aim is to create a safe, inclusive, and non-discriminatory environment that guarantees equal access to knowledge and supports the academic and personal development of every student.

The guidelines clarify how artificial intelligence may be used in academic work at the University. They emphasize that AI can serve as a supportive tool, but students remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of their submissions. Any misuse, including plagiarism or undisclosed AI use, is strictly prohibited and subject to academic consequences.

Széchenyi István University’s Gender Equality Framework Plan aligns with European Union strategies, recognizing gender equality as a fundamental right and core principle of the European Pillar of Social Rights. The Plan promotes an inclusive institutional culture through gender-balanced decision-making, equal employment and promotion opportunities, training free of stereotypes, and the integration of gender perspectives into research and innovation.

The purpose of the risk management system at Széchenyi István University is to identify and assess potential risks in the University’s activities and operations. It also ensures that appropriate measures are defined, implemented, and continuously monitored to manage these key risks effectively.
