On the afternoon of September 16, 2025, the CheckINN Tourism Innovation Competition information session was organized for tourism and hospitality students at Széchenyi István University. The organization and mission of CheckINN, as well as the application process and novelties of this year, were presented by Benedek Tóth-Korsós, innovation project manager.
According to this year’s competition announcement, applications are open not only for individual and three-person teams, but also for two-person teams. New categories have been introduced, thus the students can apply in the areas of “Artificial Intelligence in Tourism”, “Program and Cultural Tourism at Lake Balaton”, as well as the traditional “Active Tourism”.
The application period runs from September 8 to October 10, 2025. The best submissions will receive professional mentorship involving well-known tourism experts, and the winners in each category will receive a net scholarship of HUF 1 million per student.
