TDK Panorama – Leóna Sára Simon’s experiences

The Scientific Student Conference (TDK) provides an excellent opportunity for students to present their research, develop their professional skills and build valuable contacts.

Since a very young age, I have been constantly looking for opportunities to challenge myself against others. One of the best decisions I have made during my university studies was to embark on a TDK, as it not only allowed me to explore a topical and exciting subject, but also opened up a range of opportunities that have contributed to my professional development and career.

In 2024, I participated in both the spring and autumn conferences with a paper. In the first, I examined the negative effects of influencer marketing, and in the second, I focused on consumer attitudes towards influencers. I found it interesting to be able to delve into the world of content producers and explore what makes this form of marketing so popular today.

In the presentation, I tried to convey as much as possible the main findings of my research and their relevance. I tried to make my presentation well structured and understandable, but also exciting and thought-provoking. I paid special attention to the visual support of my presentation.

The interest of the scientific committee in my topics confirmed that I was examining relevant and topical issues. It was inspiring to talk to professionals with expertise in marketing and consumer behaviour research who appreciated my enthusiasm and thoroughness.

My thesis supervisor, Dr Veronika Keller, guided me throughout the research process of my academic work and her constant supportive and helpful attitude contributed greatly to my success. Thanks to her guidance and professional advice, I achieved second place in the local round with both my papers, thus double qualifying for the 37th OTDK. I am proud to have two scientific works representing my university at this prestigious event.
