Tourism Club Recap: Tour guiding and Customer experience management

At the October 29 edition of the Tourism Club at Széchenyi István University, the spotlight was on tour guiding.

Árvácska Major and Eliza Raffai discussed what it means to lead others today with authenticity and passion. The conversation covered several topics, including how to read tourists’ needs, when to be flexible, when to set boundaries, how leaders can inspire their groups, and what makes someone a “born tour guide.”

A week later, on November 6, the focus shifted to guest and customer experiences. Norbert Tarsoly and Ferenc Csabai demonstrated how a simple service can be transformed into an unforgettable experience, and how this affects guest satisfaction, loyalty, and the overall success of tourism businesses, illustrated with examples from ITAKA Travel Agency.
