The global economy is facing unprecedented challenges, including climate change, resource depletion, financial instability, and rapid technological transformation. Traditional economic models that prioritise short-term growth are increasingly insufficient to address these complex issues.
The symposium Rethinking Economic Models: Sustainability, Finance, and Accounting in Times of Transformation aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and explore innovative approaches that integrate sustainability, responsible finance, and forward-looking accounting practices.
The event brings together academics, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss transformative frameworks that align economic systems with long-term environmental and social well-being.

Publication Opportunity
Selected full papers will be published in an edited volume titled
Rethinking Economic Models: Sustainability, Finance, and Accounting in Times of Transformation,
to be released by Springer Nature as part of the World Sustainability Series.
All submissions will undergo a standard peer-review process.
