At its session held on 28 November 2025, the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Interior awarded Zsolt Kovács PhD, Vice-President for General and Educational Affairs at Széchenyi István University, Associate professor of the Kautz Gyula Faculty of Business and Economics, the Szabó András Medal and the Szabó András Certificate. These honours acknowledge his outstanding contributions to the field of care policy, both in scientific work and in academic organisational leadership.
For more than a decade, Kovács Zsolt PhD has significantly supported the development of the University through his work as an educator and senior leader. He played a key role in establishing the strategic partnership between the University and the Slachta Margit National Social Policy Institute, which led to the launch of the master’s degree programme in care policy and strengthened the foundations of future professional training and research cooperation in the social sector.
