On April 21, 2026, the Tourism Management MSc students of our Faculty participated in a truly insightful field trip at the Győr Zoo. The students visited the venue as part of the Tourism Destination Management and Marketing course, accompanied by Professor Dr. Éva Happ.
During the professional program, they attended an exciting presentation about the behind-the-scenes work:
- They gained insight into the operation of the Zoo as a major tourist attraction.
- They learned about the institution’s marketing and service development strategies.
- They discovered interesting details about how the Zoo collaborates with other tourism stakeholders in the destination.
The professional theory was followed by an unforgettable practical part! The program concluded with an exclusive guided tour, during which our students could join daily interactive experiences: they got to feed an elephant, a capybara, and a giraffe up close!
We are incredibly grateful to the staff of the Győr Zoo, especially Noémi Kovács and Zoltán Tóth (Head of Communications and Marketing), for the opportunity, the excellent presentation, and the fantastic experiences!
