Győr, April 20, 2026 – The Kautz Gyula Faculty of Business and Economics at Széchenyi István University has concluded an extraordinary and inspiring week. Between April 13 and 17, guest lecturers from the forefront of the international scientific community delivered presentations, providing insights into future technologies and the intricacies of professional event management.
Future Research and Artificial Intelligence on Campus
The keynote guest of the week was Professor Luiz Moutinho, who ranks among the top 0.02% of the world’s most-cited scientists (Stanford University-Elsevier Index). The professor, a Visiting Professor at several prestigious institutions—including the University of Suffolk and IPAM—and a member of the Academia Europaea, arrived in Győr with an impressive scientific background.
Students in the Marketing, Tourism Management, and International Business & Economics Master’s programs received first-hand knowledge of cutting-edge research trends. His lectures covered the following futuristic and niche topics:
- AI and Humanity: Agentic AI, World Models, and Synthetic Intelligence.
- Technological Frontiers: Quantum-Enhanced Language Models and Neuro-robotics.
- Visions of the Future: From data centers in space to hybrid minds and the “Homo AI” concept.
As a global expert in futures research and neuromarketing, Professor Moutinho highlighted how scientific transformation is reshaping economic processes and our daily lives.
Practical Knowledge from the World of Tourism and Event Management
In addition to the technological focus, practical management also played a prominent role. At the invitation of Dr. Veronika Keller, two distinguished lecturers from the University of Prešov (Prešovská univerzita) visited us within the framework of the Erasmus mobility program. doc. PhDr. Daniela Matušíková, PhD, Secretary of the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, introduced our international Master’s students to the world of Event Management. In her presentation, she not only outlined the steps of professional planning but also spoke candidly about the challenges of the profession and how to handle unexpected situations. Meanwhile, Mgr. Tünde Dzurov Vargová, PhD, held a course for Tourism and Hospitality undergraduate students. Her lecture focused on the operational processes of event organization, providing a valuable international perspective for the professionals of the future.
