Field Visit of the Department’s Research Team to the Pannonhalma Pálinka Distillery

The research team of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality — Viktória Kundi PhD, Head of Department, Marcell Kupi PHD and Csaba Kőmíves PhD, Associate Professors, along with 10 excellent students working together as part of the project’s research group — made a professional field visit to the Pannonhalma Pálinka Distillery.

During the programme, participants learned about the cultural and historical traditions of pálinka, as well as the full production process. The highly informative professional presentation was delivered by Attila Barabás, CEO of Győri Likőrgyár Zrt.

One of the highlights of the visit was an 8-item pálinka tasting, offering students a unique experience and valuable practical insights.

The visit provided inspiring professional knowledge and opened new perspectives for the ongoing research collaboration.
