Between June 7 and 11, 2025, the SPSS Summer School was held for the thirteenth time in Veszprém, at the University of Pannonia. During the first two days, plenary sessions featured university and college lecturers, researchers, and other professionals who shared their experiences and results related to teaching SPSS, data analysis, or artificial intelligence.
In the remainder of the week, participants took part in hands-on training along two tracks: one focused on the IBM SPSS statistical analysis software and the IBM SPSS Modeler visual data mining and predictive analytics platform, while the other offered an introduction to the world of NLP, LLMs, and Deep Learning through the Python programming language. Experts from Clementine, an analytics company, conducted the training sessions.
Attending the event were associate professor Dr. Veronika Keller and assistant lecturer Éva Heimné Rácz from the Kautz Gyula Faculty of Economics, along with assistant lecturer Tamara Böcz from the Apáczai Csere János Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences – all of whom gained valuable experience. The event provided an excellent framework for getting acquainted with statistical analysis software and deepening one’s understanding of its applications.
